Paul Waller, President & Founder

Paul is the President and Founder of Christian Sports Medicine Alliance, a ministry that was born from one 8 sports mission projects to Africa. (See CSMA story). During this time, Paul witnessed the need for an organization that would give the sports medicine profession the chance the use their skills to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. In 2011 CSMA sent out 5 volunteers to 4 different countries.

Paul has been an Athletic Trainer since 1997 but his calling to this profession started way before that in the small town of Celina, Texas as a freshman in high school. He has always had a love for sports and ran long distance track in high school while also being a student athletic trainer.

After graduating from college he went onto Tyler, Texas to take the job as Head Athletic Trainer at Robert E. Lee High School where he served there 4 years, and he was also the FCA huddle coach. After 4 years at the high school level he felt a strong calling to go on staff with The Fellowship of Christian Athletes in East Texas. Paul served as the Area Rep for all of East Texas for 2 years.

After 2 years Paul decided that he wanted to go back into full-time high school athletic training went to Ennis, Texas and was at Ennis for 1 year before landing at Timberview High School in Mansfield where he has been for 8 years.

Paul has had extensive travel abroad experience since 1994 when he went to Madagascar and was able to work with all the National Athletes. Paul says,

Using my skills of Athletic training on the mission field to share the Good News of Jesus Christ is my passion. We want to leverage the moment when medicine and the message of Jesus collide to change a culture.

We would love for you to join us if you are a athletic trainer, physical therapist, orthopedic surgeon, strength and conditioning specialist or any other profession in the sports medicine community. Come join us and make a difference in the world.

We are Christian Sports Medicine Alliance, “Medicine with a Mission”.
