In the book of Judges, God whittles Gideon’s army down from 32,000 to only 300 men. Why would God do such a thing? Because, with the thirty-two thousand, “Israel would boast against God, ‘My own strength has saved me.’” (Judges 7:2). God wanted any victory to be able to be explained by the miraculous work of God in the life of Israel. Through God’s strength, Gideon led those 300 men to defeat an army of 135,000. It’s amazing how God can multiply small things for his own glory.

CSMA has some big goals: to equip sports medicine professionals to share the gospel, to send full-time missionaries all over the world, to send out hundreds of short-term missionaries on sports mission trips, and so much more. We believe passionately that this is the path God has for us.

The logical path would be to find large foundations and apply for grants, or find wealthy individuals to support the financial goals of our ministry. But we feel God is calling us to start with something much smaller, with our own version of Gideon’s army of 300, and we are calling it the “Foundation of 300.” A member of the Foundation of 300 will:

• Pray regularly for the ministry of CSMA
• Spread the message of CSMA among sports medicine professionals
• Stay in contact with CSMA through our email newsletter
• Donate a monthly donation of only $10 a month or more. Use the donation form to the right and make your donation recurring to join the Foundation of 300.

Ten dollars a month is not a lot of money, and it surely is not enough for us to reach our goals… at least not without God’s help. But we feel that this is what God wants for us to do at this point in time, to start with a small, committed band of believers who he can use to show his strength and power.
